Founder, ChairmanVIMS Hospital is a tertiary care hospital established in 2004 by the late Dr. A. Shanmuga Sundaram (Founder). Dr. A. Shanmuga Sundaram was a noble philanthropist, educationist, and dynamic individual with an attitude to always achieving the very best. From his humble beginnings in a small village in Tamilnadu, he achieved great success in his career and built the empire of the Vinayaka Mission Super Speciality Hospitals to serve the public at an affordable cost.

He also nurtures innovation through the Ganesan Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (GIEC), empowering healthcare startups and digital health solutions. Dr. Ganesan continues to inspire through his unwavering vision—transforming healthcare delivery, nurturing future healthcare leaders, and advancing medical research for a healthier tomorrow.

During the COVID pandemic, VIMS proved its mettle by being the center of choice for its efficient handling of the crisis. The driving force is the vision of our founder, Dr.A. Shanmuga Sundaram, who envisaged this hospital to bridge the lacunae for a high-standard healthcare facility in this area. A dedicated philanthropist, visionary, and educationist, from whom we have learnt that promoting our youth through education and opportunities and supporting the communities around us through outreach activities are both very essential in building a strong bond of humanity.

Dr. K. Meenakshi Sundaram specialised in orthopaedics and was one of the most successful Joint Replacement surgeons in Tamil Nadu.
Current special interests are Revision surgeries of the Hip, Knee, Paediatrics, and Acetabular fracture. He is actively involved in VIMS Hospitals Administration and working towards the Hon'ble Chairman Dr. A.S. Ganesan's vision of making the VIMS Hospitals one of the First Super Speciality Hospitals in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India, and making it a center for World-Class Quality Medical Care at an affordable cost to society.

With strong expertise in hospital administration and healthcare marketing, he leads initiatives that enhance service quality, patient experience, and institutional visibility.

Head – Operations & MarketingMr. Venkatesh K.K serves as the Head of Operations and Marketing at VIMS Hospitals, where he plays a key leadership role in aligning patient care, business strategy, and operational efficiency. With strong expertise in hospital administration and healthcare marketing, he leads initiatives that enhance service quality, patient experience, and institutional visibility.
In addition to overseeing daily operations and driving strategic marketing efforts, Mr. Venkatesh is also responsible for the Profit & Loss (P&L) management of the hospital. He ensures financial sustainability by optimizing resources, improving departmental performance, and identifying growth opportunities — while keeping patient care at the center of every decision.
His innovative approach, data-driven planning, and commitment to continuous improvement have significantly contributed to the hospital’s growth and reputation. Mr. Venkatesh continues to lead with a vision to make VIMS a model for efficient, compassionate, and modern healthcare.
